Ben Affleck’s ‘Finding Your Roots’ Suspended For Covering Up Slave-Owning Ancestors
Ben Affleck’s “Finding Your Roots” series has been postponed, this according to reports. According to several reports, the show’s third season has been postponed because it had covered up Ben Affleck’s slave-owning ancestors during its season 2.
By postponing the season 3 of the show, many are wondering what the network has in mind given the fact that “Finding Your Roots” was slowly becoming a hit among a number of viewers. That said their other unconfirmed reports that are indicating that the Network has already started reshaping the whole production team as they gear up for the show’s third season.
So why is PBS going to postpone the show, well according to reports there was a Ben Affleck centered episode in the show’s season two and the producers knowingly omitted some very crucial part about Ben Affleck. In general the producers of the show omitted Ben Affleck’s slave-owning ancestors story and the network was not that pleased.
As at now it is not yet clear as to when the show’s season three will be coming back to the air but at the moment there are plenty of efforts that are being made by the network so as to see to it that the show gets back on air. One of the measures that they have taken is seeking to recruit new production team.
At the moment there hasn’t been any word from Ben Affleck’s camp regarding the new reports. On the other hand PBS has confirmed that they have postpone “Finding Your Roots” till further notice.
