Shia LaBeouf arrested at Broadway

Shia LaBeouf was arrested by NYPD during a theatre performance and charged with criminal trespass and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was found smoking and yelling during the performance of the show. He was charged with criminal trespass. The actor shouted at the police for which he was charged with misconduct. Benj Pasek says he saw LaBeouf in tears surrounded by six police as he was escorted from the theatre. Roundabout Theatre Company and stars Alan Cumming and Oscar Nominated actress Michelle Williams presented a musical revival celebration Cabaret.

When the actor was about to make his debut in Broadway last year under direction of Daniel Sullivan in the play Orphans along with Alec Baldwin and Tom Sturridge last year, he walked out of the play stating creative differences. After which he wrote an apologetic email to Orphans play writer Lyle Kessler. However the real reason for his removal was that he was arguing with his co star Alec Baldwin. He mentioned in his apologetic email to the writer of the play that Alec Baldwin hadn’t memorized the script which made him lose his temper.

During a recent magazine cover interview Alec Baldwin said that LaBeouf tries to put on a jailhouse mentality wherever he goes. Baldwin admits that he didn’t memorize the whole script during the rehearsal which had upset LaBeouf so he attacked him in front of the entire crew. So Baldwin said to director that one of them has to leave the play and it had to be decided by Sullivan and ultimately Sullivan decided to fire LaBeouf. His character was replaced by Ben Foster. During the preview of the Orphans he took the first seat and appreciated the team.
