Who Is Kanye West?
Kanye Omari West born on June 8, 1977, in Atlanta, US, is renowned American rapper, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. He attended art school, but his passion for rapping made him pursue music entirely in the late 1990’s and his debut album, The College Dropout was released in 2002, too much critical and commercial claim.
His parents were divorced when he was just three. His mother was a professor in English and his father was a former black panther. He lived with his mother and traveled to various places like Illinois, china etc. His talent for art showed itself at the very young age and began rapping when he was studying in third grade, started making musical compositions when he was in grade seven and got deeply involved in the raping culture of the city. No I.D was his mentor and Kanye learnt the technicalities of rapping from No I.D. Kanye got his big break in 2000, when he achieved recognition for his work as a producer but he was struggling to become a rapper. Record companies ignored him because he did not have that particular rapping image. His debut single was Through the Wire, which he recorded when he was recovering from near-fatal crash. His debut album The College Dropout was a huge success and paved way for his future as a rapper.
He included various other styles of music like folk, alternate, classical among many others. He married Kim Kardashian and had a daughter named North west with her and is currently among one of the top rappers in the world.
