Tom Cruise on the Verge of Leaving Scientology

Tom Cruise has been an ardent follower of Scientology. Mimi Rogers introduce him to the ‘Church of Scientology’ in 1990. He claimed that his struggle with dyslexia was eased out by the L. Ron Hubbard Study Tech in Scientology. Nevertheless, he gradually became one of the greatest advocates of Scientology.  He had helped the spread of this cult and religion in many of the European countries. He had helped in raising quite massive amounts of donations based out of this religion. His blind faith in the religion had landed him in some major controversies as well.

One of the greatest controversies that made quite big headlines was his comment on fellow actor Brooke Shields for using anti-depressant drug in order to cope up with post partum depression. Eventually, he issued an apology in person to Shields in context of his critical comment. It is often speculated that his marriages have been broken because of his extreme inclination towards the church.

The latest buzz in the industry is that Cruise might be discontinuing his association with the ‘Church of Scientology’ because of his daughter, Suri.  Apparently, a telephone call from his beloved daughter played the role behind his decision to disassociate with the religion. He admitted that even though he has contact with his daughter over calls and video chats, not physically being there while she grows up is difficult for him to cope. Despite tremendous pressure from the church, he has prioritized his daughter over his religion and has considered leaving it.
